The main references for this collection are Conjoined Twins, Coulrophobia (pathological fear of clowns), and the show and film ‘Hedwig and The Angry Inch’.
Using mainly recycled synthetic fibers and playing with a combination of matte and shiny finished in a color palette reminiscent of the explored universes, the limits of the body and gender expression are challenged.
The physical union of bodies is exalted and translated into clothing, creating a juxtaposition of sensuality and discomfort.
Through the translation of a narrative centered around beings who divide themselves and seek other ‘halves’, the mythology of the origin of love — according to the myth of Aristhophanes — is materialized as a personal quest for wholeness.
