Luís Miguel Sandão is a Fashion and Graphic Designer, Costume Designer, and Illustrator.

Born in Porto in 1997, he developed an early passion for the performing arts. This led him to establish a cultural association, Associação Ethos, Pathos, Logos, where he serves as President. In this role, he’s responsible for conceiving various projects, in which he also participates as an actor, costume designer, set designer, and graphic designer. He’s also part of the BARDOS Project team, a partnership with the Póvoa de Varzim City Council.

Throughout his career, he’s been largely self-taught. In 2015, he enrolled in the Fashion Design course at ESAD Matosinhos, where he solidified his interest in drawing as a method and in reinterpreting classic pieces. In October 2017, he won the New Creators competition at Portuguese Fashion News. Later, as part of his degree, he presented the collection “The Origin of Love” on the Bloom platform at Portugal Fashion.

He’s dedicated to exploring the relationships and boundaries between clothing, body, and drawing, notably through his Master’s in Performing Arts — specializing in Costume Design at ESMAE. His project for this is “ESQUISSO: Graphic Design and Clothing as Tools for Theatrical Creation.” In parallel, he develops freelance work in fashion design — havind been responsible for the creation of the visual identity and collection for the technical sportswear brand SEAB2® and for the S/S 2027 collection for CLUM Kids — and as a Communication Designer and Illustrator.
